poetry

inspired by scott mccloud's improv comics, i write an "improv poem" every day, on a topic generated by jason's version of scott's invention. he explains it on his site, but essentially you take a big map of pictures and words, and some dice, and thereby choose two ideas on which to base a poem - or a comic, or a short story, or a painting, or whatever. the result doesn't always correlate logically to the inspiration; it doesn't have to. it's a mental jumpstart, not a binding contract.

enjoy.
